Sistering \Sis”ter*ing\, verb

A carpentry term that means to strengthen by adding support. As in, when a load is too heavy for the joist/beam and it begins to weaken over time or under additional pressure. “Sistering” is when extra boards/supports are added to the right and/or left of the existing beam/joist to strengthen it.

Jennifer Aradhya
co-founder + producer

For more than 20 years, Jennifer Aradhya has worked to advance the brand of nonprofits and higher ed. A dynamic, multi-faceted communicator who delivers results, she has expertise in the areas of: public relations, marketing, coaching and project management. Jennifer brings to organizations a collaborative leadership style that engages and empowers.

She is an active volunteer and board member for several nonprofit organizations including Girls Inc. and Lowell Telemedia Center and a past board member of Mass ACE and NCMPR. She has served as an adjunct professor of graphic design and an instructor of art history at Middlesex Community College.

Jennifer is an artist with a studio at Western Ave. Studios in Lowell, Mass.

Franky Descoteaux
co-founder + host

Franky Descoteaux is the director of the Entrepreneurship Center at Community Teamwork (formerly known as the Merrimack Valley Small Business Center). Prior to coming to CTI, Descoteaux was the founder of Humanity and Mambo Grill. She has served as an adjunct professor, Entrepreneur in Residence at Middlesex Community College. She is an active volunteer and board member on several civic and nonprofit organizations including Innovation Academy and Charter School in Tyngsboro. 

Franky’s work revolves around helping fellow entrepreneurs realize their dreams and contribute to our local economy.
